This piece was commissioned by the McGill University trombone choir for their end-of-the-year concert. Capping off all of their hard work, they wanted a short work that inspired the feelings of school pride and enthusiasm they shared. While there weren’t any official fight songs for McGill as there are with many American schools, I figured I’d throw my hat in the ring, but with a twist. There are several historic party songs associated with McGill, so I created an Irish reel to celebrate Montreal and the students’ festive nature.
