Originally, this piece began as a concerto for trumpet and marimba, featuring only the first movement, "Forest Fire." As the themes evolved, I noticed the emergence of various elemental characteristics. Rather than contributing to the overused motifs of water, earth, fire, and air found in fantasy novels and many musical scores, I drew inspiration from world events and nature to represent these classic ideas in a fresh way.
